AMRI Research Exchanges

An opportunity to grow

Justyna Hampel (Right, Stockholm University) works with Laura Bas Conn (Left, Linnaeus University) to perfect her DNA extraction technique during her AMRI research exchange in Kalmar

AMRI Research Exchanges give junior researchers the opportunity to travel within AMRI institutions of Sweden, strengthen their network, work with new equipment and research questions at different institutions and build lasting working relationships in their fields.

Applications are on a rolling acceptance, meaning that researchers can apply at any time. They usually hear from AMRI leadership within a week if they have been granted the exchange, or if their application requires revision.

New in 2023, is the opportunity to use AMRI Research Exchanges for travel abroad for visiting collaborators, workshops, conferences, and courses. Please note that AMRI will only cover costs for carbon smart travel, e.g. trains, buses.

AMRI will fund travel and accommodations for up to one month at an AMRI institution in Sweden. Applications are accepted online, emailed as an attachment to caroline.littlefield@ebc.uu.se . See below for application content and download the example application PDF .
