How about $30,000 US, having your essay published in Science magazine, and being celebrated with a week of festivities in Stockholm, Sweden?

A global award aimed at young researchers

Each year, four winners are selected to receive up to $30,000 US in prize money for their accomplishments. In addition, all four winners are published in Science, and at the end of the year, invited to visit SciLifeLab in Stockholm. 

There, they will have the opportunity to meet with leading scientists in their field of research and create life-long connections during a week of unique events and experiences.

Categories

The prize is presented in four categories:

  • Cell and Molecular Biology

  • Genomics, Proteomics and Systems Biology Approaches

  • Ecology and Environment

  • Molecular Medicine

Eligibility: applicants must have received their PhD between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023.
