Perspective paper: Functional responses of key marine bacteria to environmental change – toward genetic counselling for coastal waters

A newly published perspective paper in Frontiers in Microbiology authored by AMRI lead and co-PIs Jarone Pinhassi, Hanna Farnelid, Daniel Lundin, Anders F. Andersson et al highlights the need for analysis of microorganisms’ response to the environemtn as a tool to develop genetic counselling for coastal ecosystems, ultimately allowing for “integrating bacteria as indicators of environmental change.
